Sunday evening, we headed down to Valley View Park in Hermosa Beach do take some portraits of 11 month old Ryan. This little guy was on the move the entire shoot! He is crawling all over the place and is on the verge of walking. Luckily catching kids on the move is what we do best, and we were able to get some great shots of Ryan crawling around and playing with mom and dad. Check out some of our favorites from the shoot!
Saturday we headed out to La Cañada to shoot at the fabulous Descanso Gardens. This was my first time visiting the gardens and it was beautiful! We got there just as the park was opening in the early morning, so the park was practically empty! With the park all to ourselves, we ventured through a ton of trails and found plenty of fun places to shoot. Natalie, 10 months, was a little shy at first, but after a few rounds of “the wheels on the bus” she really opened up and we got some great shots! Check out some of our favorites:
Friday, we had the pleasure of shooting the Jaffe/Sweeney wedding, which took place at the St. Monica Church in Santa Monica, with a reception to follow at the fabulous Bel Air Bay Club in Pacific Palisades. Every detail of the wedding was beautiful, from the extravagant floral displays to the exquisite dessert bar, provided by the amazing Vanilla Bake Shop in Santa Monica. The grooms family and friends came all the way from Australia to celebrate and brought such a great vibe to the wedding. Everyone was so friendly and we had such a blast! Big thanks to Paola from Just Chic Events! She did such an amazing job and we had such a great time working with her. Also, thanks Adrienne for coming along and shooting with us once again! As promised, here is the day after session from last Sunday’s wedding in La Jolla. We had such a great time shooting with this couple. The groom wanted to incorporate fun architecture into the shoot, so he pointed us in the direction of the Salk Institute in La Jolla, a biological research and study facility with an amazing architectural design. After a few shots there, we headed back over to Estancia La Jolla Resort & Spa, where the bride & groom were just married. I could literally shoot at this location all day! It is the home of beautiful Spanish architecture with a variety of lush greenery. For our third location, we decided to take a half-mile hike through the Torrey Pines state park, which led directly down to the beach. The beach was breathtaking with cliffs rich in burnt oranges and yellows and of course the blue ocean! It was such a beautiful day and we got some great shots! Big thanks to the bride and groom for showing us around these great locations. I can’t wait for my next wedding in La Jolla! Here is a preview of some of our favorites from the shoot....
